"Here ye, hear ye! Wizard and high Priest set to come to thy village, beinging gifts for the royal engagment! Any wishing to watch his arrival must be present along the Southern Road at high noon!" Cried an annoucer, walking up and down the streets of King Anglen's court.
Many pesants had lefted their homes and walked out to see what the comotion was about (most with some sort of vegitable in hand or basket.) The arrival of the wizard, known as Forrin, always made people nervous, even the King himself. Knowledge of his almighty powers had spread far across the land, and firghtened the unknowing.
As noon approached, Princess Penelope paced in her chambers, her hair high and tight on her head. She did not know this wizardm but she knew he was old, much older than she, and didn't much fancy the idea of a man with a beard, white as snow and as long as the sky itself. As her chambermaid began to sew more detail into the wedding dress, Pea (known by that name in all the Wise County) looked out her window and longed to be in the castrle treasury, among the gold and jewels and fantastic treasure.
Looking down, she noticed the Blue Nights cantering up to the brass gates, and heading quickly for the castle. She sighed, if only she were to marry one of them, then maybe she could be free of her awful room and awful servants. Though, a prince would be much, much better, and more to her fancy.

Riding up towards the castle, Sir Patrick of the Blue Knights was looking up at the tower he knew held his one and only love, about to be wed. He was supposed to help in the wedding, but he didn't know how he could do that. He couldn't watch the only one he had ever loved get married. But she was a princess, and he was only knight. Nothing could ever happen. He prayed to the gods, but he could never prove himself worthy for her hand in marriage. Riding into the court yard where the wedding would be held, white everywhere, he was the Duke that she was marrying.

"Miss, you better be heading down to the court. The villagers 'ave been waiting for you, as the Wizard is to arrive shortly. If her majesty is not present, he may curse us all!" This was the high voice of a trembling chambermaid, Kathrin, as she was wrongfully named.
"Oh, come now, servant! He will do no such thing if he wishes to bask in my beauty before he dies of old age!" Cried Pea, frowning. "Now, dress me so that I can properly present myself, and hopefully catch the eye of a charming, rich, and handsome prince."
After she was dressed in an expensive red silk gown, she headed off and into the court, where the Wizard was just arriving, his staff in one hand and shild in the other, riding attop a silver stallion. He was wearing a dark cloak, his eyes glowing a yellow-hazel. Seating herself before the knights, along with her mother, Queen Abigail, and Father, the High King, she looked out at the humble peasents, scowling at their petty appearence.

Bowing low as the Wizzard walked in, he noticed all the other knights looking at the princess. She had a smile on her face ... but there was something about it. It was forced. Like how she was being forced into this marriage. He returned his gaze to the wizzard, who seemed to be muttering an enchantment under his breath. The Wizzard took hi seat, and all the knights took theirs. Out of the corner of Patricks eye, he could've sworn he saw a black dragon, only for a split second, flying in the distance. He decided to ignore it. Probably just a trick of his eyes. He was wrong.

As the Wizard walked forward, bowing deeply and handing her a blue amulet, he smiled greedily. Pea, so transfixed with the jewel, snatched it up at once and clapped her hands for a servant to put it on her. Stepping back, the Wizard hit his staff against the ground. No sooner had he done so did a large, black dragon. The gem then twisted itself and expanded around Pea, binding her.
Then, with one mightly swoop, the dragon picked up Pea and the Wizard and carried them off to the horros of the villagers below. "Seize him! After them! Save my Princess!!!" Yelled the King, rizing as the Queen faited in shock and fear. Several of the knights stood, wielding their swords and mounting their steads.

Patrick, now riding at his horses top speed, was trying to catch up with the dragon and the princess. "It's no use" his fellow knight said "Everyone knows that horses are no match for dragons in speed, expecially a black dragon. We can hardly see them now. Lets go back and get more instruction." Slowing down his horse, Patrick knew he was right. They both turned their horses around, looking at the few others who had made it this far. They rode back to the castle. When they got there, they went straight to the king. "We are greatly sorry" Patrick said "But our noble steeds were not fast enough to catch up with a dragon with that incrediable speed." The king stood up. "AND YOU CAME BACK?!?!" the king shouted. "I want you out there searching for her!" He pointed to the door "Take this for food." he threw a bag of gold at the knights "Don't stop at Inn's to sleep. I want her found!" He knocked over the table in his rage. "Yes, your majesty" said the knights, getting up and walking out "So I guess its just us ..." said Jackup.

Pea, now sitting helplessly cold on the back of the great dragon, growled at the Wizard. "I can't believe you expect to kidnap me on this brute! I mean, this is a new dress, and thess bracelets tarnish with heat! And what kind of jewel was this? I thought it was a pure blue jewel, but it looks atrociously fake!" She began to stomp her healed feet into the back of the dragon, causing the flight a lot rougher than previously planned.

Back on the ground, Patrick and the other blue knights that had be ordered to go and save the princess where ridding faster in the dirrection that they had last saw the dragon. As soon as they got to where they didn't know where it was, they stopped to ask villagers in the surounding towns. "Oh, yeah. I saw that big thing in the sky," one of the people they asked said "Heading towards that forest over there" He pointed to a line of trees that was barely vissible. "Mind you, the only reason I know was because my boys where throwing rocks at it. That, and that horrible screaming traveled quickly in the plains.." He rubbed his ears. So, off to the forest. they went. The closer they got, the fewer peple there were. "theres something familiar with this place ..." Patrick said, "But I can't quite put my finger on it ..."

The Wizard, clearly uninterested with the latest palace gossip, began to feel like slaping the Princess. "And then Prince Francis said he would only marry her if she wore that green satin dress to the ball, beacuase it showed her figure, but she wanted to wear the red one, that is terrible with ehr skin tone."
"ENOUGH!" Spat the Wizard, causing her to almost fall off the edge. Three of her golden bracelets slipped off her hand in three different places in dew direction for the hidden castle. She then kept her mought shut, mainly because she currently had no mouth to speak through.

Arriving at the edge of the forest, Patrick and the blue knights got off their horses to look around. "Lets see ... it's getting pretty dark ... we'll ride in for about an hour and then set up camp for the night." Patrick said in a calm voice, although he didn't want to go into the forest. He still didn't know what was so familiar about it, but he didn't like it. They rode in, following a small path barely able to fit a horse through. About an hour later, they stopped and dismounted. They went into the forest to find a nice place to rest for the night. They found a small clearing, far enough away from the path that you couldn't see them from the path, but close enough so they didn't get lost. They started a fire, and they all slowly dozed off to sleep, no one thinking to keep watch.
